Vagina Warriors Listen Up!

V-Day is a worldwide movement to stop violence against women and girls.
During this year’s NYU V-Day production of the Vagina Monologues, we would
like to honor three Vagina Warriors in our community (one for each
performance night). If you or someone you know has a Vagina story, and
would like it to be heard, this is a great opportunity to do so. Being a
Vagina Warrior means having dealt with violence and discrimination,
working to help the women and girls in your community and the world, or
any other story you may have about fighting for vaginas or simply just
loving your own.

Anyone can be a Vagina Warrior - men and women of any age, race, religion,
etc. are more than welcome to offer their story. Our three selected
stories will be arranged into a monologue-type form and read during the
production of the Vagina Monologues on either February 6, 7, 8, and on
that night, that particular woman or man will be welcomed on stage and
honored as someone who has done great things for women or lived through
great tragedies of violence and would like their story to be heard.

If you have a story you would like to tell, or have any questions at all,
contact the Assistant Directors of the NYU Vagina Monologues by Wednesday,
February 1st:

or

Neaka Balloge

We would be happy to have a small, informal interview with you, read your
story via email, or anything else that works for you! Even if you wish to
remain anonymous (which is fine!!!), please include your contact info so
we can keep in touch! - your name, phone number, and email.
